A power adaptation apparatus for a wireless communication channel includes a power ratio compensator. The power ratio compensator is capable of receiving a channel quality indicator and compensating a power ratio parameter according to the channel quality indicator, wherein the power ratio parameter defines a relation between power of the wireless communication channel and power of another wireless communication channel, and is referenced for setting the power of the wireless communication channel.

In an aspect of the disclosure, a method, a computer-readable medium, and an apparatus are provided. The apparatus may be a device. The device applies Nso sensing beam vectors to Nso received signals at Nant antennas to obtain Nso measurements, respectively, Nso and Nant each being an integer greater than or equal to 1. The device determines a beam vector based on the Nso measurements and the Nso sensing beam vectors.

An embodiment of the invention provides a method performed by a mobile communication device in a discontinuous reception (DRX) mode. First, the device dumps contemporarily received data and performs multipath search while a beginning part of a relevant sub-frame in a control channel is being transmitted. Next, the device dumps contemporarily received data and decodes dumped data with an accelerated rake while a middle part of the relevant sub-frame is being transmitted. Then, the device decodes contemporarily received data with a normal rake while an ending part of the relevant sub-frame is being transmitted.
