Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for luring fish with an artificial bait are described. An artificial bait may include a top portion, a bottom portion, and a washer to prevent a knotted line from slipping through. In one embodiment, an artificial bait may include a top portion in the form of a tapered cylinder, a bottom portion comprising a plurality of appendages, and a washer. Some examples of the artificial bait may also include one or more fins attached to the top portion. The washer may prevent a fishing line from slipping through the artificial bait when it is being pulled through the water.
