    Abstract: Provided is a laundry treating apparatus including a cabinet having an inlet disposed in a front surface thereof, a tub having a tub inlet disposed therein and facing the inlet of the cabinet, wherein the tub is configured to accommodate water therein, a drum disposed inside the tub, and configured to accommodate laundry therein, a driver including a rotation shaft coupled to a rear of the tub and configured to rotate the drum, and, an induction module coupled to an outer circumferential surface of the tub that is configured to form a magnetic field for heating the drum. The induction module includes a base coupled to the outer circumferential surface, and a coil configured to generate the magnetic field. The base includes a seating surface fixed to the outer circumferential surface of the tub, a plurality of first straight ribs, a plurality of second straight ribs, and a plurality of curved ribs.

    Abstract: A laundry treating apparatus is disclosed. The laundry treating apparatus according to one embodiment of the present disclosure comprises: a cabinet including a front plate having a laundry opening; a tub which is provided in the cabinet and which includes a tub opening facing the laundry opening; a drum which is rotatably provided in the tub and which accommodates laundry; a tub gasket which is provided between the laundry opening and the tub opening, and which extends along the circumference of the laundry opening so as to seal the gap between the laundry opening and the tub opening; a gasket water supply part which is provided at the tub gasket, and into which water flows from the outside of the tub gasket during a drying operation for drying the laundry; and a water supply guider which is provided at the tub gasket, and which allows the water transferred from the gasket water supply part to flow along the inner peripheral surface of the tub gasket.

Also, the tub includes a mounting surface, the induction module is mounted on the mounting surface or the induction module overlaps with the mounting surface, and the mounting surface is a flat surface, or a radius of curvature of the mounting surface is greater than a radius of curvature of the tub.

    Abstract: Disclosed is a method of controlling a washing machine configured such that a drum having on a front surface thereof an inlet through which laundry is put is rotatably provided in a tub containing water. The control method includes (a) a step of supplying water to submerge at least a portion of the drum in the tub; (b) a step of performing at least once an operation in which the water contained in the tub is heated by operating a heater and the drum is rotated at a first set speed; (c) a step of draining the tub; (d) a step of supplying water to submerge at least a portion of the drum in the tub; and (e) a step of performing at least once an operation in which the water contained in the tub is heated by operating the heater and the drum is rotated. The step (e) includes a step of rotating at least once the drum at a second set speed which is lower than the first set speed; and a step of repeating a first drum cleaning operation in which the drum is rotated at least once at a third set speed lower than the second set speed, and a second drum cleaning operation in which the drum is rotated at least once at a fourth set speed lower than the third set speed.
