    Abstract: A vehicle seat assembly is provided with a seat bottom pivotally mounted to an actuator and a vehicle floor. A controller is in electrical communication with the actuator and programmed to receive input indicative of a seating position angle, and input indicative of a potential vehicle impact. A signal is output to the actuator to pivot the seat to a nearest one of the plurality of predefined seat orientations if the seating position is not one of the plurality of predefined seat orientations when the input indicative of the potential vehicle impact is received. The signal is not output to the actuator if the seating position is one of the plurality of predefined seat orientations when the input indicative of the potential vehicle impact is received. The plurality of predefined seat orientations is offset radially at sequential increments.

    Abstract: A head restraint assembly is provided to be mounted within a vehicle. A head restraint is supported by the cross member in a lateral direction and adapted to rotate about a lateral axis of the cross member. A fixed locking member is mounted within the head restraint. A latch is mounted to slide on the cross member between a first latch position engaged with the locking member and at a second latch position released from the fixed locking member. A lever is provided proximate the latch to move the latch between the first latch position and the second latch position. A motor is in communication with the lever such that the motor moves the lever to translate the latch from the first latch position to the second latch position. The head restraint is rotatable about the cross member when the latch is in the second latch position.

    Abstract: A vehicle seat adjustment assembly has an actuator adapted to move a component of the vehicle seat assembly, and a generally planar sensor array in communication with the controller and accessible from an outer surface of the vehicle seat assembly. The sensor array has a plurality of adjacent sensors accessible from an outer surface of the vehicle seat assembly. A controller is in communication with the actuator for controlling the actuator and in communication with the sensor array. The controller is configured to control the actuator to move the component in response to receiving a signal indicative of a touch input of the sensor array by a user such that the movement of the component correlates with the input to the sensor array.

    Abstract: A seating system include a seat assembly including a first seat, a track assembly, and/or an electronic control unit (ECU) configured to control movement of the first seat along the track assembly. The first seat may be configured to move along the track assembly in at least one direction. The ECU may be configured to communicate with an external network. The ECU may be configured to move the first seat proximate a door of a vehicle in response to information received from the external network. The first seat may include an actuator. The ECU may be configured to control movement of the first seat via the actuator, such as in response to the information received from the external network. The ECU may include a first seat profile including information corresponding to the first seat. The ECU may communicate with the external network regarding the first seat profile.
