摘要： An electrical connector assembly comprises a first connector, a pair of second connectors, a circuit board and a bracket. The first connector includes a plurality of terminals having mounting tails. A pair of indicating devices mounted to the first connector each has conductive wires extending therefrom. Circuit traces are longitudinally arranged on the circuit board. First ends of the circuit traces are connected to the mounting tails while second ends of the circuit traces are connected to an intermediate device connected to a mother board. The circuit traces are arranged so that cross talk therebetween can be effectively reduced.

摘要： A high-density electrical connector comprises a housing, two sets of SMT contacts insert molded in opposite sides of the housing, and a shield covering the housing. The housing comprises a first housing member and a second housing member surroundingly incorporating the first housing member. A recess is defined between the first and second housing members. A method of manufacturing the high-density connector comprises the steps of: 1) insert molding a pair of SMT contact carriers to opposite sides of the first housing member; 2) insert molding the first housing member having the two SMT contact carriers to the second housing member; 3) severing carrier plates from the two SMT contact carriers; 4) assembling the shield to the housing. The first insert molding forms a base and a crossbeam retaining mounting and mating portions of the SMT contacts with a gap defined therebetween. The base defines a plurality of openings. The second insert molding fills the openings and the gap to incorporate the base and the crossbeam to form the housing.

摘要： An electrical connector includes an insulative housing having a shielding shell made of a conductive material fitted thereto. The housing has two groups of pins separated by a central slot defined therebetween with a conductive plate received therein. The conductive plate is in electrical connection with the shielding shell. The conductive plate has two resilient fingers formed on a front edge thereof and thus engageable with a counterpart conductive plate of a mating connector. The resiliency of the fingers provides a positive engagement between the two conductive plates thereby establishing a sound electrical connection therebetween. This allows electrostatic charges on the conductive plates to be effectively removed through the shielding shell.

A grounding member comprises a metal base from which at least one metal tube extends for mating with and enclosing the corresponding cylinder of the housing, wherein the metal base is sized to be retainable between the first hook and the second hook of the retaining means and the mating face of the housing.
