Abstract: There is provided a clock and data recovery circuit for a high-speed PAM-4 receiver through statistical learning. A clock and data recovery device according to an embodiment includes: an input unit through which data is inputted; a clock input unit through which a clock is inputted; a sampling unit configured to sample the inputted data by using the inputted clock; a controller configured to combine results of sampling at a plurality of sampling points, to determine a state of the clock based on the combined results, and to generate a control value for controlling the clock; and an adjustment unit configured to adjust the clock applied to the sampling unit, based on the control value generated by the controller. Accordingly, a hardware structure is simplified and energy efficiency is enhanced compared to an exiting oversampling clock and data recovery circuit for a PAM-4 receiver.

Abstract: There are provided a radar signal processing method with a clutter suppression calibration function, and a radar sensor applying the same. A radar sensor according to an embodiment of the disclosure includes: a transmitter configured to transmit a radar signal; a receiver configured to receive a reflected radar signal; a mixer configured to down-convert the radar signal received through the receiver into an IF signal; a memory configured to store clutter information; a restoring unit configured to restore a clutter signal from the clutter information stored in the memory; and a calculator configured to remove a clutter signal from the IF signal down-converted at the mixer, by using the clutter signal restored at the restoring unit. Accordingly, it is easy to detect a radar target by removing objects other than a target easily in various indoor environments, and an SNR and a dynamic range may increase.

Abstract: There is provided an FMCW radar target detection method for vital signal detection. A method for detecting vital signals by using radar selects a range bin where there are accurate vital signals by using a correlation between a phase change profile of an IF signal caused by a minute motion, and a target signal intensity change profile, so that accuracy of estimation of vital signals can be enhanced through exact tracking of a person (target). In addition, clutter may be exactly removed by utilizing a phase unwrapping technique which is adaptive to an upper body motion change compared to a 180-degree fixed phase unwrapping technique.

Abstract: A method and a system for processing an FMCW radar signal by using a lightweight deep learning network are provided. The data processing method using an AI model includes: converting n-dimensional data into a plurality of pieces of 2D data; inputting the plurality of pieces of 2D data into the AI model through different channels; and processing the plurality of pieces of 2D data inputted to the AI model by analyzing. Accordingly, an amount of computation and a memory usage can be reduced and characteristics of an object can be learned and inferred by the lightweight deep learning network.
