    Abstract: Provided is an industrial printing system for peer-to-peer grouping of production prints. The industrial printing system performs production printing with a plurality of servers that perform distributed processing of jobs. Each of the plurality of print servers includes a condition setting unit, a condition sharing unit, a job acquiring unit, and a job processing unit. The condition setting unit sets a grouping condition for grouping the jobs. The condition sharing unit shares the grouping condition set by the condition setting unit with other print server. The job acquiring unit acquires a plurality of jobs that meets the grouping condition from the other print server. The job processing unit groups and processes the plurality of jobs acquired by the job acquiring unit.

    Abstract: Provided is an industrial printing system that efficiently manages distributed processing of production printing on a peer-to-peer basis. Industrial printing systems perform production printing and include multiple print servers. A plurality of print servers performs distributed processing of jobs. The storage unit stores capability information indicating capabilities that can be processed in rasterizing process, printing processing, and post-processing. The processing determination unit checks job processing requirement based on the capability information stored in the storage unit, and it determines a combination of any of a plurality of print servers, printing apparatuses, and post-processing apparatuses capable of processing the job. The processing management unit transmits a job to each apparatus and requests processing according to the combination determined to be processable by the processing determination unit.

    Abstract: Provided is an industrial printing system that performs peer-to-peer distributed processing of production printing. The industrial printing system performs production printing and includes a plurality of site servers. A plurality of site servers performs distributed processing of print jobs. Each site server has a storage unit, a processing determination unit, and a processing management unit. The storage unit stores a capacity table showing the capacity that can be processed in the print process and the post-processing process. The processing determination unit determines other site servers that can process jobs from a plurality of site servers based on the capacity table stored in the storage unit. The processing management unit sets a schedule for processing jobs by other site servers determined to be processable by the processing determination unit and sends jobs to other site servers to request processing according to the schedule settings.

    Abstract: Provided is a peer-to-peer industrial printing system that performs distributed processing in variable printing for production printing. The industrial printing system includes a plurality of print servers and performs variable printing for production printing. Each of the plurality of print servers has a variable attribute generation unit, a variable distribution unit, and a processing management unit. The variable attribute generation unit generates variable attribute information including record information, which is information about each record of variable data for the variable printing. The variable distribution unit distributes each record of the variable data to one of the plurality of print servers based on the variable attribute information generated by the variable attribute generation unit. The processing management unit transmits the job ticket including the record distributed by the variable distribution unit to the other print server that is distributed to request processing.
