    Abstract: The present invention relates to a broadband sound absorption device using area division, the device comprising: Helmholtz resonators including a neck portion and a cavity portion connected to the neck portion and having a predetermined area and thickness; and a unit sound absorber including at least one pair of the Helmholtz resonators, wherein a plurality of unit absorbers are arranged on a plane or curved surface, and the plurality of sound unit absorbers are formed to have cavity portions with different areas to minimize the thickness while enabling sound absorption for a wider band.

    Abstract: An acousto-optic structure according to an exemplary embodiment of the present invention is a stacked structure for inducing an interaction between incident acoustic wave and incident optical wave, and it includes: a pair of multi-layered structures including a structure in which two layers with different acoustic impedance and optical impedance are alternately arranged in a direction in which the acoustic wave and the optical wave propagate; and a cavity layer disposed between the pair of multi-layered structures in the direction in which the acoustic wave and the optical wave propagate, and made of a medium having acoustic impedance and optical impedance that are different from those of interfacing layers at both sides, wherein the two layers are symmetrically arranged with respect to the cavity layer so that the acoustic wave and the optical wave may be confined in the cavity layer.

    Abstract: Provided is an ultrasonic wave amplifier including a cavity structure for amplifying and outputting sound waves. The cavity structure may include an input opening through which the sound waves generated by the transducer are input, an inner wall forming a cavity in which the sound waves input through the input opening resonate, and an output opening through which the amplified sound waves are output, and when a first axis is defined as a line connecting a center of the input opening and a center of the output opening, the shape of the inner wall may be formed such that an area of the cavity in a cross section perpendicular to the first axis varies depending on a position on the first axis. Ultrasonic wave amplifier may further comprise an insertion structure disposed inside the cavity.
