Abstract: A stateful application gateway redundancy system and method. Configuration information defines a service processing unit on a service gateway and associates a first redundancy set and a second redundancy set with the service processing unit, wherein the first and the second redundancy sets include a master redundancy state, a standby redundancy state and one or more redundancy policies, including at least one redundancy policy defining actions to be taken on occurrence of a redundancy event associated with the respective redundancy set. In response to detecting a critical event for the first redundancy set, the service gateway transitions the first redundancy set from the standby redundancy state to the master redundancy state, adds a first signal-route associated with the first redundancy set to a Routing Information Base (RIB) and advertises the first signal-route to routing protocol peer network devices.

Abstract: A device may include one or more processors to receive, from at least one user device, multiple network packets. The device may identify, from the network packets, a set of individual network packets, the set including at least two of the received network packets that are destined for a particular destination device. The device may generate, based on the set of individual network packets, a batch packet, the batch packet including: the set of individual network packets, data identifying the number of individual network packets included in the set, and offset data for each of the individual network packets included in the batch packet. Based on the batch packet, the device may perform an action.

Abstract: A first network device of a network receives first traffic and second traffic, and assigns a first priority to the first traffic and a second priority to the second traffic. The first network device provides, to a second network device, a first message requesting whether the second network device can process the first traffic, and receives, from the second network device, a first response with a first value indicating that the second network device can process the first traffic. The first network device establishes, with the second network device, a path that includes a first security association and a second security association. The first network device provides, to the second network device, the first traffic with the first priority, via the first security association of the path, and the second traffic with the second priority, via the second security association of the path.
