Abstract:
This invention relates a novel gene which is induced by water deficit and abscisic acid. The gene encodes for a transcription factor, particularly homeodomain-leucine zipper transcription factor which contains a transcriptional activation domain in the C-terminal region and a DNA-binding domain in the N-terminal region. The gene can be cloned into an expression vector to produce a recombinant DNA expression system suitable for insertion into cells to form a transgenic plant transformed with this gene. The gene of this invention can be also used to produce transgenic plants which exhibit enhanced resistance to drought.

Provided are an acrylic copolymer composition, a method for preparing an acrylic copolymer, and a vinyl chloride resin composition including the acrylic copolymer. The acrylic copolymer composition includes 5-15 wt % of a crosslinking agent and an alkyl acrylate monomer constituting an alkyl acrylate crosslinked polymer and 85-95 wt % of methyl methacrylate and at least one monomer selected from the group consisting of alkyl acrylate and alkyl methacrylate. Addition of the acrylic copolymer to the vinyl chloride resin composition enhances the foaming property of the vinyl chloride resin. Combination of the acrylic copolymer with an impact modifier further enhances the impact strength of the vinyl chloride resin.

The present invention relates to a preparation method of an acryl-based impact-reinforcement, and more particularly, to a preparation method of an acryl-based reinforcement prepared by blending latex having large particles and latex having small particles, being capable of enhancing impact-resistance of a polyvinyl chloride (PVC) resin. The present invention provides a method of preparing an acryl-based impact reinforcement comprising a step of blending a) 50 to 90 parts by weight of latex having large particles with a particle size of 200 to 500 nm and a core-shell structure and b) 10 to 50 parts by weight of latex having small particles with a particle size of 60 to 140 nm and a core-shell structure. In addition, the present invention provides an impact-reinforcement prepared by the method of the present invention, and a polyvinyl chloride (PVC) composition comprising the same.

This invention provides a method for preparing an acrylic rubber latex having a bimodal particle size distribution, comprising the step of; a) preparing seed rubber latex containing i) alkyl acrylate, ii) saturated or unsaturated C1-C9 organic acid, and iii) an acrylic multi-unsaturated monomer; b) preparing a bimodal rubber latex by adding i) alkyl acrylate and iii) an acrylic multi-unsaturated monomer to the seed rubber latex obtained in step a): and c) preparing rubber latex by grafting iv) alkyl methacrylate to the bimodal rubber latex obtained in step b). According to this invention, an acrylic rubber latex can be provided that satisfies the important factors for the improvement of impact resistance, i.e., the particle size of the impact modifier dispersed in a matrix and the distance between impact modifiers, thereby allowing the impact modifier to improve the impact resistance and weatherability of vinyl chloride resin.

The method of providing a multimedia service includes collecting user-preference-aware information, device-capability-aware information, and network-aware information, generating a packet according to a correlation among the user-preference-aware information, the device-capability-aware information, and the network-aware information, and providing a multimedia service according to the generated packet.

The method includes generating a media characteristic corresponding to a single media content component or aggregated media characteristics corresponding to a plurality of multimedia content components, obtaining information used for generating the data packet from the generated media characteristics or aggregated media characteristics, and generating the data packet based on the obtained information used for generating the data packet and transmitting the generated data packet.

In an apparatus for providing a multimedia streaming service, a server transmits a Media Presentation Description (MPD) including information about media data to a client, receives a partial request message requesting a part of media data having a range according to a defined range in the MPD, and transmits to the client a segment having the range in response to the partial request message. The segment includes at least one fragment, segment index information indicating the position of the at least one fragment in the segment, and fragment index information indicating the position of each of a plurality of samples included in the at least one fragment.
