摘要： A method and apparatus are provided for reducing noise in a medical diagnostic image. The method includes obtaining an image data set of a region of interest in an object, defining a first area that includes a plurality of pixels surrounding a pixel in the image data set, rotating and reflecting the first area to identify at least one different second area that includes a structure that is similar to a second structure defined in the first area, and generating an image having reduced noise using the rotated and reflected area.
