Abstract:
A flexible electrically conductive track including an elongated flexible insulating member providing at least one longitudinally extending slot to receive an electric conductor. The conductor includes a pair of generally parallel co-extensive contact strips joined by a plurality of transverse ribs. The slots are closed by resiliently displaceable flanges which are displaced to provide access to the conductor.
Abstract:
An elongate electrical conductor (2) that is adapted for electrically connecting with an electrical contact, the conductor (2) includes a longitudinally extending elongate body (61) for defining a first contact surface (62); and a plurality of longitudinally spaced apart ribs (66) that extend from the body (61) to respective free ends (67) that are spaced apart from the first contact surface (62) for allowing the contact to be progressed between the body (61) and one or more of the ribs (66), each rib (66) including a respective second contact surface (68) that is opposed with the first surface (62) wherein, upon progression of the contact between the body (61) and the one or more ribs (66), the first surface (62) and the respective one or more second surfaces (68) are resiliently biased into engagement with the contact.
Abstract:
A tool (1) to insert a plurality of elongated flexible electric conductors (4) into the slots (3) of an elongated flexible insulating housing (2). The tool (1) has a passage (13) through which the housing (2) and conductors (4) move to have the conductors (4) urged into the slot (3). The passage (13) is bordered by a plurality of ramps (10) which engages the conductors (4) to urge them into the slot (3).
Abstract:
An elongate electrical conductor (2) is disclosed that is adapted for electrically connecting with an electrical contact, the conductor (2) includes a longitudinally extending elongate body (61) for defining a first contact surface (62); and a plurality of longitudinally spaced apart ribs (66) that extend from the body (61) to respective free ends (67) that are spaced apart from the first contact surface (62) for allowing the contact to be progressed between the body (61) and one or more of the ribs (66), each rib (66) including a respective second contact surface (68) that is opposed with the first surface (62) wherein, upon progression of the contact between the body (61) and the one or more ribs (66), the first surface (62) and the respective one or more second surfaces (68) are resiliently biased into engagement with the contact.
Abstract:
An electrical supply assembly (10) which includes an elongated base (11) which receives longitudinally extending conductors (29). The conductors (29) are formed by a plurality of “U” shaped ribs joined by longitudinally extending strips (37). An adaptor (40) is mounted on the assembly (10) and is provided with pins (22, 23 and 24) to engage the conductors (29). The adaptor (40) has a base (45) within which there are located sockets (57) to be engaged by the pins of an electric plug. The sockets (57) are attached to the pins (22, 23 and 24). The base (45) is rotatable so as to move the pins (22, 23 and 24) into contact with the conductors (29). A shutter member (47) is located within the base (45) to selectively provide access to the sockets (57).
