    Abstract: A user equipment (UE) is configured to receive a downlink physical control channel including a transmission parameter in a first time slot, a number of bits sent over the downlink physical control channel is based on fields of control information to be sent to the UE, wherein the first time slot also includes a downlink physical shared channel. Further, the UE is configured to transmit an uplink physical control channel in a second time slot based on the transmission parameter, wherein a plurality of UEs transmit uplink physical control channels in the second time slot.

The UE is configured to send data over the physical uplink shared channel in assigned time intervals. The UE is further configured to, in a time interval that it is not sending information over the physical uplink shared channel, to send a signal over the uplink physical control channel based on the received resource allocation information, wherein the UE is further configured to transmit the signal over the uplink physical control channel between transmissions of data over the physical uplink shared channels within a frame. The UE is configured to receive feedback information from a downlink control channel.
