Abstract: A communication terminal is for example described comprising a determiner configured to determine a first candidate measurement timing pattern and a second candidate measurement timing pattern, each measurement timing pattern comprising a plurality of measurement times, wherein the second measurement timing pattern comprises at least one measurement time occurring between a plurality of measurement times of the first candidate measurement timing pattern; a selector configured to select, from the first and the second candidate measurement timing pattern, a pattern with a measurement time at which a result of a measurement fulfills a reporting criterion and which fulfills a predetermined condition and a controller configured to control a measurement reporting circuit to report cell measurement results based on the selected measurement timing pattern.
