    Abstract: The disclosure provides a driving method for an active matrix type bistable chiral nematic liquid crystal display, including: dividing a frame into at least two fields, wherein each field is formed by a plurality of pixel rows; driving one of the at least two fields by a plurality of driving operations, wherein a liquid crystal unit of each pixel in the field is driven to one of two predetermined states in each driving operation; and driving the other fields by the plurality of driving operations.
