Abstract: A wall mounted basketball system with one or more reinforcement brackets to additionally secure the frame of a basketball system to a wall. Reinforcement brackets include a base configured to mount to a wall. The base defines an aperture through which one or more secondary fasteners are arranged to secure the bracket to the wall. The bracket further includes at least one hook configured to receive and/or retain a portion of a frame of the basketball system, such as an outwardly extending upper flange of the frame. The hooks provide a counterbalancing force to resist downward or rotational forces applied to the basketball system during use.

Abstract: A device to assist a basketball assembly in returning to a static state (i.e., a device to reduce vibrations) after the basketball assembly has been impacted by a basketball or a player. The device includes a weight (i.e., a mass) atop a rubber/urethane rod. The device is configured to allow the weight to oscillate in the plane of the force of the impact. Simultaneously, the rubber/urethane rod absorbs the vibrational energy of the impact. The combination of the weight and the rod assist the basketball assembly to return to a static position more quickly.

Abstract: A basketball rim cover includes a cover plate to be placed over a basketball rim. A first locking piece extends downward. A support arm is arranged through the locking piece so that ends of the support arm are aligned with opposing points of the basketball rim. A second locking piece engages the first locking piece and is adjusted to clamp the rim between the cover plate and the support arm. A lock bar may be placed through slots in the first and second locking pieces. A fastener may be used to prevent the lock bar from being removed. In an alternate embodiment, a volleyball training aid is based on a basketball rim mounting assembly which can be mounted on a basketball rim. The volleyball training aid further includes a support frame and netting.
