Abstract:
A composite touch screen panel applied to an electronic device concurrently supports a spatial touch device and a surface touch panel. The panel includes a display module, the surface touch panel, the spatial touch device, and a controller. The display module outputs data. The surface touch panel is disposed on the display module and detects when a touch on a surface of the touch screen panel. The spatial touch device is interposed in constituent elements of the surface touch panel. And a controller senses a touch position detected in the spatial touch device and the surface touch panel, and performs a corresponding function of the electronic device.
Abstract:
Disclosed is an audio/video data synchronization apparatus for directly transmitting decoded audio/video data to an external device, without compressing the data, using UWB communication. The apparatus synchronizes video and audio data stored in a terminal without compressing the data and simultaneously transmits the data to an external device using UWB communication, so that users can enjoy high-quality images and sounds. In addition, the receiving end does not necessarily incorporate a separate function for decoding moving images, because it receives uncompressed video/audio data. This makes the apparatus simple and convenient.
Abstract:
Disclosed are a user input device and a method for rapidly selecting an operation mode in a mobile terminal having a touch screen input panel and a fingerprint recognition sensor. The user input method includes setting operation modes for at least one fingerprint data and input pattern, each comprised of keys necessary to implement a corresponding operation mode; detecting fingerprint data inputted from the fingerprint recognition sensor, and confirming an operation mode set for the inputted fingerprint data; and displaying an input pattern corresponding to the confirmed operation mode on the touch screen input panel.

Abstract:
An apparatus and a method in a portable terminal allow searching for content and provide a function which re-searches and classifies the searched content based on a time line. A 4D data search unit outputs a time setting menu for changing a time line after searching for content corresponding to a keyword, and re-searches for the searched content based on the changed time line that corresponds to a rotation of the time setting menu.
Abstract:
A composite touch screen panel is applied to an electronic device. The touch screen panel includes a display module configured to output data and a spatial touch panel disposed at a top of the display module. The composite touch screen panel also includes an Acoustic Pulse Recognition (APR) panel arranged to overlap at a top of the spatial touch panel. The composite touch screen panel further includes a controller configured to sense a touch position sensed in the spatial touch panel and APR panel and perform a corresponding function of the device. The composite touch screen panel thereby integrates a spatial touch panel and an APR panel to exclude an existing silver (Ag) line and signal line, and maximizes a space utilization of a panel. Thus, the composite touch screen panel is capable of enabling a smooth performance of a precise touch and a long key function and drag operation.
Abstract:
Provided is a power control method of a wireless terminal to control power of the wireless terminal when a Subscriber Identity Module (SIM) card, which can be directly inserted/removed, is removed in a power-on state of the wireless terminal. The method include: determining whether the SIM card is removed in a power-on state of the wireless terminal; and if the SIM card is removed from the wireless terminal, automatically changing the wireless terminal to a power-off state.
Abstract:
An alarm unit includes an apparatus and a method of maximizing the efficiency of an alarm function that wakes up a sleeping user. An image input unit capable of photographing an eye image as a criterion for determining if the user has woken up is mounted on an alarm control apparatus. The image input unit mounted alarm control apparatus photographs a face image of the user, detects the eye region from the face image, and then determines a state of whether the user has woken up or not based on movement of the pupils in the eye region. If it is determined that the user keeps a waking state for a certain time, an alarm function is cancelled. By doing this, the alarm unit can help prevent the user from easily cancelling an alarm and maximize the efficiency of an alarm function that wakes up a sleeping user.
