Abstract: Example uplink switching methods and apparatus are described. One example method include performing switching between a supplementary uplink (SUL) and a normal (NUL), where a switching time period for the switching between the SUL and the NUL is longer than 0 microseconds. Therefore, the SUL and the NUL can share a radio frequency channel so that the shared radio frequency channel can be switched between the SUL and the NUL.

Abstract: A communication method for selecting an uplink with optimal channel quality for a user equipment (UE), the method including receiving a first message from a terminal by using at least two transceiver points, measuring at least two uplinks based on the first message received by the at least two transceiver points, and determining a first uplink based on obtained measurement results, where the first uplink is an uplink with an optimal measurement result in the at least two uplinks, and the at least two uplinks are communication links between the at least two transceiver points and the terminal, and sending a second message to the terminal on a first downlink, where the second message is used by the terminal to perform uplink communication on the first uplink.

Abstract: The present disclosure relates to communication methods and apparatus. In one example method, a terminal sends, to a network device, a quantity of radio frequency channels supported on each of a plurality of carriers when the terminal performs uplink transmission on the plurality of carriers in time division multiplexing (TDM) mode. The terminal reports, to the network device, a quantity of radio frequency channels used on each carrier when the terminal performs uplink transmission in TDM mode, so that the network device can configure, for the terminal based on an actual capability of the terminal, the quantity of radio frequency channels used on each carrier in TDM mode.

Abstract: An uplink determining method and an apparatus. An access network device may determine, based on signal quality of a downlink frequency band corresponding to a supplementary uplink (SUL) or signal quality of a frequency band of an SUL, the signal quality of the frequency band of the SUL, to accurately evaluate coverage performance of the SUL; and after determining the signal quality of the frequency band of the SUL, may determine whether to perform transmission on the supplementary uplink, to avoid a case in which the access network device blindly indicates a terminal to perform transmission on the supplementary uplink when signal quality of the supplementary uplink is not measured, leading to transmission of the terminal on the supplementary uplink with poor coverage and even a failure, thereby improving reliability and a transmission rate of uplink transmission and improving user experience.

Abstract: This application discloses a method including: A network device receives first channel quality information corresponding to a first bandwidth and second channel quality information corresponding to an aggregated bandwidth from a terminal device; determines interference experienced by the terminal device when the terminal device accesses the aggregated bandwidth based on the first channel quality information and the second channel quality information; and sends bandwidth configuration information to the terminal device based on the interference. The aggregated bandwidth is obtained by aggregating at least the first bandwidth and a second bandwidth. Abstract: A first access network device receives an addition request message from a second access network device. The first access network device determines a third uplink carrier used by a terminal to send a preamble to the first access network device, and sends an addition request acknowledgement message to the second access network device. The addition request acknowledgement message includes carrier indication information. The carrier indication information indicates the third uplink carrier. The third uplink carrier is at least one of the first uplink carrier or a second uplink carrier. The second uplink carrier and the first uplink carrier belong to a same cell of the first access network device and the second uplink carrier is a supplementary uplink carrier.
