    Abstract: A data prefetching method and a prefetching apparatus to improve system service performance, where the data prefetching method includes a first prefetching apparatus receives a data prefetching instruction from a first host. The first prefetching apparatus determines a target data block based on the data prefetching instruction, and obtains identification of a target prefetching apparatus from a second prefetching apparatus. Then the first prefetching apparatus determines a target storage location of the target data block based on the identification, and obtains the target data block based on the target storage location.

    Abstract: Embodiments can provide a smart interface card control method and apparatus. Under such a method or apparatus, after a smart interface card is inserted into a smart interface card slot of a host, a virtualized management interface can be registered with the host using a protocol stack of a preset type. A virtual link can be created to connect a baseboard management controller management interface to the virtual link. A management address configuration instruction sent by the host can be received for configuring a management address of the management interface. A control instruction sent by the host by using the management address can be received, and the control instruction to the BMC management interface can be sent by using the virtual link. According to the foregoing smart interface card control method and apparatus, scalability of the smart interface card can be improved.

    Abstract: The present invention discloses a method and an apparatus for node hot-swapping, which simplify the node hot-adding procedure, and improve the operation efficiency of the hot-adding procedure. The present invention includes: obtaining, by a server from a baseboard management controller BMC of a node device to be added, static hardware information of the node device to be added, and storing it into a storage device of the server, where the static hardware information is obtained through an out-band channel by the BMC of the node device to be added; receiving, by the server, a node hot-adding command sent by a user, where the hot-adding command carries identifier information of the node device to be added; obtaining the static hardware information of the node device to be added corresponding to the identifier information from the storage device; and adding, according to the static hardware information, the node device to be added.
