Abstract: A communication method that may be applied to a base station is provided. Abstract: The embodiments of the present disclosure provide an antenna system, including a barrel directional antenna array, a radio frequency transceiver, and a baseband signal processing and control unit. Based on the barrel directional antenna array, the antenna system can adjust the quantity of sectors in a 360-degree range based on a change in a service volume in the 360-degree sector, so that an adjusted sector service capacity threshold can accommodate the service volume in the 360-degree sector. In this way, resource scheduling flexibility is improved.
