    Abstract: In a random access method, random access preambles are grouped, and an electronic device selects a random access preamble from the grouped random access preambles, and receives an indication of a base station for the electronic device to send a message 3 repeatedly or in a diversity mode, so that the electronic device sends the message 3 repeatedly or in a diversity mode in a random access process. Accordingly, a probability of detecting the message 3 by the base station can be effectively improved, coverage performance of an uplink signal is improved, and/or resources of the base station are less wasted.

    Abstract: Methods, apparatuses, and storage media for transmitting a system information block are described. In an example implementation, a network device sends indication information to a terminal device. The terminal device determines a period of periodic transmission of a system information block (SIB) based on the received indication information, and receives, based on the period, a SIB1 sent by the network device. Alternatively, the terminal device determines a transmission location of aperiodic transmission of a system transport block based on the indication information, and receives, at the indicated transmission location, a SIB1 sent by the network device.

    Abstract: A random access/responding method and device are provided. In some embodiments, at least two random access preambles can be received before responding to random access of a terminal device, where each of the at least two random access preambles includes at least one sequence. In some embodiments, one random access preamble can be received before responding to random access of a terminal device, where the one random access preamble includes at least two sequences. The sequences in the received random access preambles can be checked. A successfully detected sequence or a random access preamble with the successfully detected sequence can then be responded to. In this way, responding to a plurality of successfully detected random access preambles or a plurality of successfully detected sequences included in one random access preamble is implemented.

On example method includes: a backscatter device receives an excitation signal from an exciter. The backscatter device determines a backscatter signal pattern in a backscatter signal pattern set, where the backscatter signal pattern set includes a plurality of backscatter signal patterns, and backscatter reference signals in the plurality of backscatter signal patterns do not overlap in time domain. The backscatter device modulates a backscatter reference signal and a backscatter data signal on the excitation signal based on the determined backscatter signal pattern, to obtain a backscatter signal. The backscatter device sends the backscatter signal to a receiver.

    Abstract: Embodiments of the present invention disclose a communication method and a device. The method is applied to any terminal in a positioning system that includes one or more network devices and one or more terminals. The method includes: A terminal receives a measurement indication from a network device. The terminal receives reference signals from the network device, and measures the reference signals based on the measurement indication, where the reference signals are used for positioning measurement. The terminal sends one or more groups of measurement results to the network device, where reference signals corresponding to each group of measurement results have an association relationship, and the association relationship includes that each group of measurement results is measurement results of a same receive beam.     Abstract: Embodiments of the present invention disclose a random access preamble sending method and an apparatus. The method includes: sending, by user equipment, a first random access preamble to a network device, where the first random access preamble is used by the user equipment to access the network device; and when the user equipment fails in accessing the network device by using the first random access preamble, sending at least one second random access preamble to the network device, where access characteristic information of each second random access preamble is different from that of the first random access preamble, the access characteristic information includes at least one of a time length, a transmit beam, and a random access resource, and the at least one second random access preamble is used by the user equipment to access the network device. In the embodiments of the present invention, a problem of a random access failure in a future wireless communications network caused by the fact that a random access preamble does not arrive at the network device is resolved, thereby increasing a probability that the random access preamble arrives at the network device and increasing a random access success rate.
