    Abstract: This application provides a communication method and apparatus. The method includes: performing source encoding on a first bit sequence to obtain a second bit sequence; obtaining a fourth bit sequence based on the second bit sequence and a third bit sequence; performing channel encoding on the fourth bit sequence to obtain a fifth bit sequence; and sending the fifth bit sequence.
