Abstract: Some embodiments of the present invention provide a charger. According to the charger, a detection signal generation circuit actively sends a detection signal; a feedback circuit detects level signals on a sampling component, and generates a feedback signal according to the level signals; a switch component controls, according to the feedback signal, the charger to output a charging voltage; and when the level signals meet a preset condition (the preset condition is a preset condition that the level signals meet when an abnormal short circuit occurs on a charging interface), the switch component controls the charger to stop outputting the charging voltage.

Abstract: Embodiments of present invention provide a charging protection method, including: measuring a charging voltage, a charging current, and a temperature rise of a charging interface of a charged device; detecting whether the charging voltage falls beyond a preset voltage range, detecting whether the charging current is less than a preset current threshold, and detecting whether the temperature rise is greater than a preset temperature rise threshold; and if a detection result of any one or more of the three detecting items is yes, disconnecting a charging circuit of a charger. Correspondingly, the embodiments of the present invention further provide a charging protection apparatus, which can disconnect a charging circuit in a timely manner when a charging exception occurs, thereby avoiding damage to a charging interface.

Abstract: A battery charging apparatus and method, a terminal, a power adapter, and a storage medium relate to the electronics field, where the method includes detecting temperature of a charging path in a battery charging apparatus, and when a power adapter supplying charging power for the battery charging apparatus works in a first working mode and a detected largest temperature value is greater than or equal to a preset threshold, instructing the power adapter to switch to a second working mode, decoupling a charging path corresponding to the first working mode, and coupling a charging path corresponding to the second working mode. This reduces impact of local heat accumulation on device performance during charging of a terminal battery, lengthens a device life span, and improves user experience.
