Abstract: This application provides a resource unit combination indication method and a communications apparatus. The method includes: determining a physical layer protocol data unit PPDU, where the PPDU includes a signal field, the signal field includes a resource unit allocation subfield and a combination indication corresponding to the resource unit allocation subfield, the resource unit allocation subfield indicates a plurality of resource units, and the combination indication indicates combination information of the plurality of resource units; and sending the PPDU. The method provided in this application can support one or more users in transmitting data by using a plurality of contiguous or discontiguous RUs, and indicate a combination status of the plurality of RUs to the user.

Abstract: A system and method for triggering beamformed uplink (UL) physical layer protocol data units (PPDUs) are disclosed. The system comprises an access point (AP) and one or more stations (STAs). The AP sends a soliciting frame to the one or more STAs, wherein the frame comprises a null data packet, NDP, request, NDPR, indicator and receive an NDP PPDU from each of the one or more solicited STAs. The AP, then computes the precoder for each of the one or more solicited STAs and send the one or more solicited STA a trigger frame with a beamforming report. The AP receives from each of the STAs one or more beamformed UL data packets and sends a block acknowledgement to the one or more solicited STAs indicating the successful receipt of the one or more beamformed UL data packets.

Abstract: A device on a wireless network generates duration data for determining a duration of a time interval. A transmission is then instructed, by the device, to transmit the duration data and a downlink payload including an aggregated Media Access Control (MAC) layer data unit, the downlink payload being transmitted on first subcarriers. Abstract: An apparatus for band-limited frequency division multiplexing for uplink transmission to a base station or access point, particularly from an IoT device, comprises a signal modulator to transmit a signal over a set of contiguous equally spaced frequency sub-carriers ranging from a lowest frequency sub-carrier via intermediate sub-carriers to a highest frequency sub-carrier.
