摘要: Methods and systems for an injection system are provided. An example injection system includes a container for a pharmaceutical that is sealed at a proximal end with a plunger having a pushing surface for engaging an inner surface of the hollow body. A plunger rod extends axially from the proximal end of the container and is covered with a plunger rod cover. Removal of the cover activates the system and allows for delivery of the pharmaceutical product from the container by advancing the plunger within the container towards the seal.

摘要: In one aspect, the invention is directed to a port assembly for establishing fluid communication between a first container and a second container. The port assembly includes a retainer for connecting a first container, where the retainer is positioned in a cavity defined by a port housing that includes an axially fixed actuator. The housing also includes a plug member constructed to seal a fluid passageway between the port housing and an interior of a second container. The plug member is configured to move axially relative to the actuator. Rotation of the retainer relative to the actuator causes the plug member to move to an open position in which it does not seal a fluid passageway between the port housing and an interior of a second container. The rotation of the retainer relative to the port housing also causes the retainer to move axially relative to the port housing so that the actuator forces a stopper associated with a first container connected to the retainer into a first container.

摘要: A port assembly for establishing fluid communication between a first container and a second container. The port assembly includes a port housing for connection to a second container, and a retainer for connection to a first container, wherein the retainer rotates relative to the port housing and is constructed to move axially within the port housing. An actuator is axially fixed within the port housing and forces a stopper associated with a first container into a first container when the retainer moves axially within the port housing upon rotation of the retainer relative to the port housing. The assembly is configured to establish fluid communication between a first container and a second container upon rotation of the retainer relative to the port housing.
