Abstract:
An optical transceiver is disclosed, in which the transceiver installs a BOSA and has an additional heat conducting path from the BOSA to the cover and to the base independent of the path from the IC to the cover. The optical transceiver includes a heat conductor that comes in thermally contact with the BOSA, the cover and the base. The heat conductor, which is made of metal sheet, has a ceiling piece that comes in contact with the cover and a pair of legs with the bottom surface that comes in contact with the base in both sides of the BOSA.
Abstract:
An optical module that implements with a tri-plexer assembly is disclosed. The tri-plexer module comprises a bi-directional module for transmitting digital input and output signals and an analogue optical assembly for receiving analog optical signals. The bi-directional module installs both a light-emitting device and a light-receiving device in a signal package. The analogue optical assembly is assembled such that the optical axis thereof makes a substantially right angle with the optical axis of the bi-directional module. The signal ground of the module is common to the analogue module and to a section for receiving the digital data; while, the chassis ground or the frame ground in the module is isolated from the signal ground.
Abstract:
An optical transceiver provides a TOSA, a ROSA, a base member, a circuit board and a shield member. The shield member is formed by cutting and bending a metal sheet without welding or soldering. The shield member includes a center partition and a pair of sides, which forms two spaces each receiving the TOSA or the ROSA. The center partition has a V-shaped cross section which is able to be inserted into a cut of the circuit board so as to shield the ROSA from the TOSA. The shield member provides a frame ground by being in the bottom of the center partition in contact with the base member and also in contact with the cover.
