摘要: A resuscitation system for use in the resuscitation of a subject includes a computing device configured to input subject information and use the subject information to create a subject resuscitation strategy, a sensor configured to detect subject biosignals and use the subject biosignals to monitor for a subject cardiac arrest event, and a defibrillator configured to determine and deliver a subject resuscitation treatment. On determination of a subject cardiac arrest event, the sensor outputs sensor subject biosignals to the computing device. The computing device uses the sensor subject biosignals to adapt the subject resuscitation strategy and output the subject resuscitation strategy to the defibrillator. The defibrillator measures subject biodata and uses the subject biodata and the subject resuscitation strategy to determine and deliver a subject resuscitation treatment. During subject resuscitation treatment, the defibrillator repeatedly uses measured subject biodata and the subject resuscitation strategy to adapt the subject resuscitation treatment.

摘要: A CPR feedback system for assessing CPR carried out by a person on a subject and providing CPR feedback to the person, including an ECG system, a biosignal system, a CPR assessment system, and a CPR feedback unit. The CPR assessment system is configured to perform the steps (i) establish a reference ECG signal metric and a target biosignal metric, (ii) produce a CPR feedback signal, (iii) receive ECG signals measured during a plurality of chest compressions and use the ECG signals to establish a current ECG signal metric, (iv) receive biosignals and use the biosignals to establish a current biosignal metric, (v) compare the current ECG signal metric with the reference ECG signal metric and compare the current biosignal metric with the target biosignal metric, (vi) when the current ECG signal metric is less than the reference ECG signal metric and the current biosignal metric is less than the target biosignal metric, produce a CPR feedback signal, (vii) when the current ECG signal metric is less than the reference ECG signal metric and the current biosignal metric is equal to or greater than the target biosignal metric, increase the target biosignal metric and produce a CPR feedback signal advising the person to improve CPR performance, (viii) when the current ECG signal metric is equal to or greater than the reference ECG signal metric, set the reference ECG signal metric equal to the current ECG signal metric and produce a CPR feedback signal advising the person to maintain current CPR performance.

摘要: According to the disclosure there is provided an apparatus that assesses chest recoil of a subject during cardio pulmonary resuscitation (CPR) carried out by a rescuer on the subject and provides feedback to the rescuer. This apparatus may include a bio-signal measurement system configured to measure bio-signals of the subject. The apparatus may identify when CPR is required and may provide a CPR start signal to indicate when CPR should be started and this apparatus may identify when CPR is to be ceased. A CPR stop signal may be provided to a rescuer to indicate when CPR should be stopped. The apparatus may include electronic circuits capable of measuring impedance signals of the subject, may include sensors that sense bio-signals, and may include defibrillator shock electronics capable of providing a shock to the subject to restart or reset the heart of the subject.

摘要: An electrode identification system (1) for defibrillators, comprising an electrode plug (2) adapted for connection to at least one electrode having a first pair of conducting contacts (6, 8), an identification element (10) connected between the first pair of conducting contacts, a second pair of conducting contacts (12, 14) for connection to the electrode, and a housing (16) providing a cavity (18, 20) which substantially encases the first and second pairs of conducting contacts and the identification element and an aperture through which ends of the first and second pairs of conducting contacts extend, a defibrillator socket (3) adapted for connection to a defibrillator and adapted for connection to an electrode plug having a first pair of conducting contacts (24, 26) for connection to the first pair of conducting contacts of the electrode plug, a second pair of conducting contacts (28, 30) for connection to the second pair of conducting contacts of the electrode plug and for connection to the defibrillator, and a housing (32) providing a cavity (34, 36) which substantially encases the first and second pairs of conducting contacts and an aperture through which ends of the first and second pairs of conducting contacts extend, and an electrode identification unit (4) adapted for connection to a defibrillator socket having a circuit comprising contacts for connection to the first pair of conducting contacts of the electrode plug via the first pair of conducting contacts of the defibrillator socket, a signal detector (42) connected to the circuit which detects a signal from the identification element of the electrode plug, and a processor (44) which uses a measure of the signal to determine an identification characteristic of the identification element of the electrode plug and from this identifies a category of the electrode connected to the electrode plug.
