Abstract: A first terminal obtains a first transmission resource that is sent by an access network device and that is used by the first terminal to send data on a sidelink, where the sidelink is a wireless communication link between the first terminal and a second terminal, and the first transmission resource is a resource of an unlicensed spectrum. The first terminal performs a channel access procedure on the unlicensed spectrum. The first terminal sends first information to the access network device when the first terminal determines that a failure occurs in the channel access procedure performed on the unlicensed spectrum, where the first information is used to request to allocate a second transmission resource to the sidelink of the unlicensed spectrum.

Abstract: This application provides a random access method and a communications apparatus. The method includes: determining at least one random access preamble from at least one 2-step random access preamble, or determining one type of random access preamble from at least one 2-step random access preamble and at least one 4-step random access preamble, and performing random access by using the determined random access preamble. Abstract: A communications method and apparatus. The communications method includes: transmitting a first request to a network device through a first resource, where the first request is used to request beam failure recovery of a first cell or is used to request system information of the first cell, the first resource is a resource of a second cell, and the first cell and the second cell are serving cells of a same terminal; and receiving a first response corresponding to the first request from the network device. Therefore, when a terminal has a plurality of serving cells, the terminal may transmit a request across cells (or across carriers), to improve transmission reliability.

Abstract: Embodiments of the present invention provide a communication method used for random access, including: receiving, by a terminal, random access preamble information sent by a base station; and before sending random access to the base station based on the random access preamble information, receiving, by the terminal, a random access response sent by the base station, where the random access response includes an uplink asynchronous hybrid automatic repeat request HARQ process identifier, and the uplink asynchronous HARQ process identifier is used by the terminal to send uplink data to the base station. Compared with the prior art, the communication method provided in the embodiments of the present invention can ensure to some extent that uplink data is transmitted timely and can effectively improve uplink data transmission reliability.
