Abstract: This application provides a communication method, a communication apparatus, and a communication system. The method includes: obtaining topology information of a satellite network, where the topology information includes channel information between satellites in the satellite network; and determining a user plane network element based on the topology information and identification information of a satellite on which an access network device is located. According to the solution, the user plane network element is determined with reference to the topology information and the identification information of the satellite on which the access network device is located, so that an appropriate user plane network element can be determined. This helps implement efficient data transmission and ensure service quality.

Abstract: A communication method and apparatus are provided. The method includes: obtaining topology information of a satellite network, where the topology information includes information about a channel between satellites in the satellite network; and determining a first user plane network element based on the topology information, identification information of a satellite on which at least one user plane network element is located, and identification information of a satellite on which an access network device is located, where the first user plane network element is one of the at least one user plane network element. According to the foregoing method, an appropriate user plane network element can be selected in a multi-hop scenario of an inter-satellite link.
