Abstract: Example folding apparatus and electronic devices are described. In one example, a folding apparatus includes a first housing, a rotating mechanism, and a second housing that are sequentially connected. The rotating mechanism drives the first housing and the second housing to be folded or unfolded relative to each other. The rotating mechanism includes a main shaft assembly, a first transmission arm, a first rotating arm, a first shielding member, a second transmission arm, a second rotating arm, and a second shielding member. When the folding apparatus is unfolded, the first shielding member and the second shielding member approach each other to shield the main shaft assembly.

Abstract: The present disclosure relates to foldable-screen devices and hinge components. An example hinge component includes an elastic component disposed on a support member. A first end of the elastic component presses against a primary shaft mechanism when a rotation mechanism rotates to a flattened state. A second end of the elastic component is connected to the support member when the rotation mechanism rotates to the flattened state. A compression rate of the elastic component when the rotation mechanism rotates to the flattened state is greater than a compression rate of the elastic component when the rotation mechanism rotates to a folded state.
