    Abstract: The present invention relates to a data transmission method, apparatus, and system. The method includes: obtaining, by a benefited device, a cooperative-layer key, performing encryption, or encryption and integrity protection processing on uplink data by using the cooperative-layer key at a cooperative layer to obtain first encrypted data, performing encapsulation processing on the first encrypted data to obtain first encapsulated data, and sending the first encapsulated data to a supporting device in a short-distance communication mode, so that the supporting device processes the first encapsulated data to obtain second encapsulated data and sends the second encapsulated data to a base station. In embodiments of the present invention, secure data transmission is implemented between the benefited device, the supporting device, and the base station in a cooperative communication process, which improves network security and reliability of data transmission.

    Abstract: In one example method for generating an access stratum key in a communication system, a terminal device acquires an input parameter, where the terminal device is communicably coupled to a first network-side device through a first air interface and at the same time is communicably coupled to a second network-side device through a second air interface. The terminal device has access to a core network via the first network-side device, and has access to the core network via the second network-side device which has access to the core network through the first network-side device. The terminal device calculates an access stratum root key of the second air interface according to the input parameter and an access stratum root key of the first air interface, and generates an access stratum key of the second air interface according to the access stratum root key of the second air interface.

    Abstract: In the communications system, a user equipment UE accesses a core network via a first network-side device by using a first air interface and connects to the first network-side device via a second network-side device by using a second air interface to access the core network. The method includes: acquiring, by the network-side device, an input parameter; calculating, by the network-side device, an access stratum root key KeNB* according to the input parameter and an access stratum root key KeNB on the first air interface, or using, by the network-side device, the KeNB as the KeNB*; and generating, by the second network-side device, an access stratum key on the second air interface according to the KeNB*, or sending, by the first network-side device, the KeNB* to the second network-side device.

    Abstract: In one embodiment, a system for generating an access stratum key comprises: a first network-side device that has access to a core network (CN) and is communicably coupled to a user equipment device (UE) through a first air interface, and a second network-side device that has access to the CN through the first network-side device and is communicably coupled to the UE through a second air interface. The first network-side device is configured to calculate an access stratum root key of the second network-side device according to an access stratum root key of the first network-side device and an input parameter; and send the access stratum root key of the second network-side device to the second network-side device. The second network-side device is configured to receive the access stratum root key of the second network-side device from the first network-side device; and generate an access stratum key according to the access stratum root key of the second network-side device.

In the communication method, after an IPsec connection is established between a first user plane network element and a terminal, the terminal or the first user plane network element may be used as an endpoint device on the IPsec connection.
