An information writing method and an apparatus are provided. The method includes: A management network element determines a terminal identifier and authentication information corresponding to the terminal identifier. The management network element sends first information to a writing device, where the first information includes the terminal identifier and the authentication information, allowing the terminal identifier and the authentication information to be written to a terminal. The management network element obtains an execution result from the writing device. In the method, operator networks may participate in a tag printing process, so that the operators implement subscription management on tags. In addition, the operator networks can authenticate the tags based on information stored in the data repository network element, enhancing control of the operator network over the tag.

Embodiments of this application provide a charging method and a communication apparatus. The method includes: receiving a first message from an application network element of an application, where the first message is used to request to execute a first operation for a target terminal; sending a second message, where the second message is used to request to start charging for the first operation for the target terminal; and sending first charging information, where the first charging information includes execution information of one or more terminals in the target terminal, and the first charging information is used to charge for a process in which the first operation is executed for the one or more terminals. According to this solution, charging is implemented for a terminal management process.

This application provides a data transmission method and apparatus, to resolve a problem that flexibility of a data packet transmission mode in a passive internet of things is poor. The method includes: receiving a first message, where the first message is used to request to perform an operation on information about an electronic tag; obtaining first information; determining a transmission mode based on the first information, where the transmission mode is transmission via a user plane; and triggering establishment of a transmission channel between an access network device and a user plane function network element, where the transmission channel is used for transmission of a result of the operation on the information about the electronic tag. In the foregoing mode, the tag management function may flexibly select a transmission path, and may select the user plane for transmission, so that signaling overheads can be reduced.

A method for reducing frequency band interference for a multi-mode terminal, including: using a first frequency band to establish a first service in a first network standard; using a second frequency band to establish a second service in a second network standard; when determining that the first frequency band and the second frequency band interfere with each other, updating a frequency band capability support state or reporting an interference collision event to a network corresponding to a low-priority service, so that the network corresponding to the low-priority service updates a frequency band used by the low-priority service to a frequency band that has less interference with a frequency band used by a high-priority service, and establishing the low-priority service according to the updated frequency band. According to the embodiments of the present invention, interference between frequency bands of the multi-mode terminal may be reduced.

A cell search method of a terminal is provided. The terminal includes first and second network units. The first network unit camps a CS domain on a first network preferentially, and executes a CS domain service; the second network unit camps a PS domain on a second network preferentially, and executes a PS domain service; the first network unit receives a system message from a cell of the first network where the first network unit is located, and determines whether the system message carries neighboring cell information of the second network of the cell; and the second network unit searches for a cell of the second network after the first network unit determines that the system message carries the neighboring cell information of the second network of the cell. With the solutions, subscriber experience can be improved and cell search time of the terminal can be reduced.

Embodiments provide a method for selecting a network by a terminal and a dual-standby terminal. The method includes: enabling, by a first network processing module, a circuit switched (CS) domain to preferably camp on a first network, and executing a CS domain service; enabling, by a second network processing module, a packet switched (PS) domain to preferably camp on a second network, and executing a PS domain service; wherein, signal quality of the first network is better than that of the second network, and a data transmission rate of the second network is higher than that of the first network; and closing the second network processing module when no PS domain service exists in a set duration. These embodiments help improve the service quality and reduce power consumption of the terminal.
