    Abstract: This application provides methods and apparatuses for precoding vector indication and determination. One method includes: generating, by a first communications device, first indication information that indicates one or more port selection vectors, one or more frequency domain vectors, and one or more linear combination coefficients, wherein each of the one or more linear combination coefficients corresponds to a port selection vector and a frequency domain vector, each of the one or more port selection vectors indicates a port of a precoded reference signal, and each of the one or more frequency domain vectors indicates a variation pattern of a channel in a frequency domain; and sending the first indication information to a second communications device.

    Abstract: This application describes a data transmission method, a terminal device, and a network device. The method may include determining, by a terminal device, a reporting type of channel state information (CSI), where the reporting type is used to indicate a relationship between CSI of a beam that is currently reported by the terminal device and CSI of a beam that is previously reported by the terminal device in a current reporting period. The method may also include sending, by the terminal device, CSI of N beams to a network device based on a reporting type and a codebook parameter, where the codebook parameter is used to indicate a quantity N of the currently reported beams, and N is an integer greater than or equal to 1. According to the data transmission method, the terminal device, and the network device described in the embodiments of this application, CSI reporting flexibility can be improved, thereby improving system performance.

    Abstract: Embodiments can provide a precoding matrix indicating method, a precoding matrix determining method, a receive end device, and a transmit end device. In the precoding matrix indicating method, component matrices of an ideal precoding matrix and a weight of each component matrix can be determined based on at least one basic codebook. A dimension of each component matrix is the same as a dimension of the ideal precoding matrix, and a column vector of each component matrix is selected from column vectors of one of the at least one basic codebook. A precoding matrix indicator can be sent. The precoding matrix indicator can indicate the component matrices and the weight of each component matrix. With this, an ideal precoding matrix is approximately represented in a form of a weighted sum of a plurality of component matrices so that feedback overheads caused by feeding back a precoding matrix can be reduced.

    Abstract: Embodiments of the present invention provide a precoding vector indicating method, a precoding vector determining method, a receive end device, and a transmit end device. The precoding vector indicating method includes: determining a plurality of component vectors of an ideal precoding vector and a weight of each component vector based on at least one basic codebook, where each component vector is a column vector of one of the at least one basic codebook; and sending a precoding vector indicator, where the precoding vector indicator is used to indicate the plurality of component vectors and the weight of each component vector. The embodiments of the present invention further provide a precoding vector determining method, a receive end device, and a transmit end device. In the technical solutions provided in the embodiments of the present invention, a basic codebook is constructed based on a plurality of parameters, so that the basic codebook can be used to more accurately describe a channel environment. In this way, a precoding vector determined based on the basic codebook provided in the embodiments of the present invention can more accurately match a channel, thereby improving a precoding effect.

    Abstract: The present disclosure discloses a channel state information feedback method, a base station, a terminal device, and a system. The method includes: receiving, by a terminal device, a reference signal sent by a base station; determining, by the terminal device, channel state information based on the reference signal; and sending, by the terminal device, the channel state information to the base station, so that the base station determines a precoding matrix F. The precoding matrix F=C1C2W, where C1 is a first-level precoding matrix, C2 is a second-level precoding matrix, and W is a third-level precoding matrix. Channel state information corresponding to C1 includes beam information, channel state information corresponding to C2 includes long-term wideband channel information, and channel state information corresponding to W includes instantaneous channel information. This patent application can reduce total pilot and CSI feedback overheads, thereby improving a system throughput.
