摘要: An optical network unit (ONU) receives an Ethernet packet sent by user device and slices the Ethernet packet based on information about a minimum transmission unit to generate a first Ethernet packet slice, where a length of the minimum transmission unit is an integer multiple of a length of the first Ethernet packet slice. The ONU encapsulates the Ethernet packet slice and a slice identifier into a GEM frame, wherein the slice identifier indicates that the length of the minimum transmission unit of the OTN is an integer multiple of the length of the Ethernet packet slice. The Ethernet packet slice does not need to be processed by a network processor or a traffic management module in transmission of the OLT, thereby reducing a delay of network transmission.

摘要: An optical line terminal and a method for upgrading a primary device and a secondary device of the optical line terminal are provided. The secondary device receives a stepwise reset notification sent by the primary device; the secondary device resets a control chip according to the received stepwise reset notification, and sends a request message to the primary device after the control chip is reset, where the request message is used to request the primary device to deliver new configuration data; the secondary device obtains the new configuration data delivered by the primary device; and the secondary device restores data of the control chip by using the new configuration data delivered by the primary device. In the embodiments of the present disclosure, only the control chip of the secondary device needs to be reset and upgraded, and other hardware structures of the secondary device do not need to be reset.

摘要: Example packet processing methods and devices are described. One example method includes that a first device identifies a received first packet through a first FlexE shim layer disposed in the first device. When identifying that the first packet is a flexible Ethernet (FlexE) packet, the first device performs timeslot mapping on the first packet, then encapsulates the first packet into a first gigabit passive optical network encapsulation mode (GEM) frame. One first identifier is selected by the first device from at least one identifier reserved for a FlexE service, and is allocated to the first GEM frame, where the first identifier is used to indicate that the first GEM frame is a GEM frame corresponding to the FlexE packet. The first device sends the first GEM frame that carries the first identifier.

摘要: The present disclosure relates to an optical access device and an optical access system. The system includes a switching unit, at least two optical access devices, a network integrated processor, and a controller. The optical access device decapsulates an upstream data frame to obtain a payload, encapsulates the payload into a first upstream Ethernet frame, and then sends the first upstream Ethernet frame to the switching unit. The switching unit, which may comprise at least one switch, is configured to send the first upstream Ethernet frame to the network integrated processor, or send the first upstream Ethernet frame to the controller, and receive and send a second upstream Ethernet frame. The network integrated processor processes the first upstream Ethernet frame according to a received protocol parse instruction to obtain the second upstream Ethernet frame, and sends the second upstream Ethernet frame to the switching unit.

摘要: An optical line terminal and a method for upgrading a primary device and a secondary device of the optical line terminal are provided.
