Abstract: A slice control method and apparatus are provided. The method includes: a policy control network element receives, from a slice access control network element, slice access status information of a network slice, the slice access status information comprises information indicating a network slice traffic bandwidth of the network slice; determines, based on the current slice access status information of the network slice, that the network slice traffic bandwidth exceeds a corresponding maximum value allowed by configuration; generates, in response to the determination, first session policy control information for a first session in the network slice; and sends the first session policy control information to a session management network element corresponding to the first session, the first session policy control information being for policy control on the first session.

Abstract: In a communication method, a policy control network element receives first information from a terminal device, where the first information is a banned application identifier, a banned PSI, a URSP identifier, or an allowed application identifier. The policy control network element obtains a first URSP of the terminal device from a data storage network element. The policy control network element determines a second URSP of the terminal device based on the first information and the first URSP. Based on this solution, when deciding a URSP of the terminal device, the policy control network element considers the first information reported by the terminal device, so that a proper URSP can be determined for the terminal device. In addition, this helps avoid signaling overheads caused because the terminal device and a policy control network element side continuously update and maintain a URSP that the terminal device does not need to use.

Abstract: This application discloses an access control method and an apparatus, which may be used in a secondary authentication process. The method includes: An SMF receives a session establishment request sent by a terminal. The SMF determines, based on the request, to send an authentication request to a campus server. The SMF receives an authentication failure response message sent by the campus server. When the SMF determines to accept the session establishment request, the SMF sends a policy association establishment request to a PCF and receives a policy association establishment response sent by the PCF. The SMF enforces a policy for a session of the terminal according to a policy rule in the policy association establishment response. The SMF sends a session establishment response message to the terminal.

Abstract: This application provide a service guarantee method and apparatus. The method is applied to a scenario in which a remote terminal device accesses a network via a relay device. The method includes: A PCC rule generated by a policy control network element based on subscription data of the remote terminal device includes a second quality of service QoS parameter of a second communication interface between the remote terminal device and the relay device, so that a session management network element can generate, according to the received PCC rule, a second QoS rule corresponding to the second communication interface, and the session management network element can send the second QoS rule to the relay device. The QoS rule required by the second communication interface is generated based on the subscription data of the remote terminal device, and the remote terminal device can access a service via the relay device.
