Abstract: This application provides a data communications system and method. The system includes a first chassis and a second chassis. The first chassis includes a first high-performance switching module and a first low-performance switching module. The second chassis includes a second high-performance switching module and a second low-performance switching module. The first high-performance switching module is connected to the second low-performance switching module. The first low-performance switching module is connected to the second high-performance switching module. The first high-performance switching module is configured to connect to a third low-performance switching module in a third chassis that is to be added to the communications system. The second high-performance switching module is configured to connect to a fourth low-performance switching module in the third chassis that is to be added to the communications system. During capacity expansion, there is no need to change cables between deployed chassis.

Abstract: The present disclosure is drawn to methods and systems for resource enforcement in a distributed system. At least one first host of the system has an enforcement agent configured to trigger a master enforcement controller in response to the first host running a task requiring access to a distributed resource. The master enforcement controller obtains identification information regarding the distributed resource and transmits an enforcement command to other hosts of the distributed system involved in providing the distributed resource. The enforcement command is received by enforcement agents on each of the involved hosts and triggers a slave enforcement controller on each of the involved hosts. The slave enforcement controllers locally enforce a resource quota for the distributed resource.

Abstract: Example optical connector ferrules and example optical connectors are provided. An example optical connector ferrule is a first ferrule of an optical connector, where the first ferrule includes n optical channels, and the first ferrule is configured to be compatible with a second ferrule. The second ferrule includes m optical channels, where both m and n are positive integers, and n is greater than m. The n optical channels of the first ferrule include first-type optical channels and second-type optical channels, where an arrangement manner of the first-type optical channels is the same as that of the m optical channels of the second ferrule, and at least one of the second-type optical channels is located in at least one of rows in which the first-type optical channels are located.

Abstract: Methods and systems of managing a resource in a distributed resource management system can include: receiving a resource request including data identifying at least one requested resource attribute; identifying one or more candidate resources from a plurality of resources by performing element-wise operations on one or more resource attribute element sets corresponding to the at least one requested resource attribute, each resource attribute element set comprising an element for each of the plurality of resources, each element representing a resource attribute for a respective resource of the plurality of resources; and scheduling a workload associated with the resource request for execution based on the one or more identified candidate resources.

Abstract: The technology of this application relates to an optical-electrical co-package structure including a carrier circuit board, an optical-electrical conversion module, a package circuit board, and an electrical chip. The package circuit board and the optical-electrical conversion module are respectively located on a first side surface and a second side surface that are opposite to each other of the carrier circuit board. The electrical chip is disposed on the package circuit board, and the optical-electrical conversion module is separated from the package circuit board, to significantly reduce a size of the package circuit board, reduce processing difficulty and costs of the package circuit board, and reduce a loss of a high-speed signal transmission link. In addition, the carrier circuit board is provided with a first conductive via, and the package circuit board is electrically connected to the optical-electrical conversion module to reduce inter-board traces on a connection link between the optical-electrical conversion module and the package circuit board.

Abstract: The present disclosure provides a method of reading data maintained in a tree data structure, such as B+ tree, using near data processing (NDP) in a cloud native database. According to embodiments, a desired LSN will be used in NDP page reads on the master computing node (e.g. master SQL node). When the master computing node (e.g. master SQL node) reads the regular page, the maximum desired LSN (e.g. the latest page version number) for that regular page will be used. Embodiments use features of the desired LSN and page locking, wherein correct versions of pages can be obtained by using the desired LSN associated with a page, in combination with page locking, and can enable the reading of a consistent tree structure and achieve good read/write concurrency.
