Abstract:
A cable connector assembly comprises an insulative housing, a plurality of first contacts and second contacts, a cable electrically connected with the contacts, a metallic shell enclosing the insulative housing. The first contacts are received in the first tongue, and the second contacts are held in the second tongue, the second contacts have a grounding contact in the middle thereof. The cable has an aluminum foil, and a front part of the aluminum foil is stripped away. The grounding contact has an extending configuration extending beyond back ends of other contacts along a front to back direction and a pair of soldering portions on both sides of the extending configuration, the extending configuration has a Z-shaped cross-section and extends rearwards to a front end of the aluminum foil.

Abstract:
A cable assembly comprises: an insulative housing; a plurality of contacts received into the insulative housing; a spacer assembled to a rear end of the insulative housing; a wire management assembled to a rear end of the spacer, and a cable electrically connected to the rear ends of the plurality of contacts. The wire management defines a plurality of first and second channels formed on top surfaces. Each of second channel defines a rear inlet and two front outlets. The cable comprises several pairs of signal wires received into the corresponding second channels. Each differential pair of signal wires comprises two signal conductors, a grounding conductor and a shielding layer surrounding the two signal conductors and a grounding conductors. Two front ends of the two signal conductors are exposed out of the shielding layer and extending out of the wire management through two outlets.
Abstract:
A cable assembly comprises an insulative housing; a plurality of terminals received into the insulative housing; a cable electrically connected to the plurality of terminals. The cable comprises two differential pairs of signal wires. Each differential pair of signal wires comprises two signal wires, a grounding wire and a shielding layer surrounding the two signal wires and a grounding wire. Front end regions of the signal wires and the grounding wires are exposed out of the shielding layer. And, a wire management is assembled to a rear end of the insulative housing and defines a plurality of channels respectively plated with an electroplated layer. The front end regions of the signal wires and the grounding wires are respectively passed through the plurality of channels and electrically connected to the corresponding terminals.
Abstract:
An electrical connector (100) includes an insulative body (1) comprising a rear part (11), a front widened tongue (121), and a front narrowed tongue (122), a plurality of contacts (2) received in the insulative body, a metallic shell (3) enclosing the insulative body, a spacer (5) assembled to the insulative body for supporting the contacts, and a cable connected with the contacts and comprising two STP (Shielded Twisted Pair) wires (62) for high speed signal transmission, each of the two STP wires having a front section without aluminum foil. The metallic shell comprises a front shell (32) and a rear shell (33) assembled with each other, the rear shell defines a vertical blade (335) bent downwards from a top wall thereof, and the vertical blade extends downwards and is located between the front sections of the STP wires.
Abstract:
A cable connector assembly includes an insulative housing (1) defining a cavity (1150), a number of contacts (2,3) retained in the insulative housing, a cable (6) electrically connected with the contacts, a spacer (4) assembled to the back end of the insulative housing, and a metallic shell (5) enclosing the insulative housing. The contacts comprise a number of first and second contacts each having a contacting portion and a tail portion, the tail portions extending beyond a back end of the insulative housing. The spacer has a plurality of grooves (42,43) for receiving tail portions of the contacts and a separator disposed between every two neighboring grooves. The separator is T-shaped in order to restrain the contact tail portion.
