Abstract: A lighting device is provided for a motor vehicle. It includes a flat waveguide that has an entry surface and at least one light emission surface. The length (L) of the waveguide is greater than 50 cm. It also includes a plurality of light sources. At least part of the light generated by the light sources enters the waveguide through the entry surface, at least part of the light entering through the entry surface exits the at least one light emission surface, and at least part of the light exiting the at least one light emission surface exits the lighting device. The lighting device also includes a device for positioning and/or retaining the waveguide. The device contains a receiver for a narrow surface of the waveguide extending along the length (L) of the waveguide.

Abstract: An illuminating device for vehicles is provided with a housing closed off by a transparent covering plate. A light source unit contains at least a first and a second light source. An optical unit contains a hologram element for generating a illuminated holographic figure are arranged. The optical unit has at least one shutter element for limiting an emission angle range (φ) of the light source, such that the optical unit has a first optical component allocated to the first light source and a second optical component allocated to the second light source by means of which light emitted by the light sources can be deflected in the direction of the hologram element. A transitional area between the optical components a screening element extends in such a way that scattered light emitted by the first light source that does not hit the allocated first optical component is prevented from hitting the adjacent second optical component and such that, vice versa, scattered light emitted from a second light source that does not hit the second optical component is prevented from hitting the first optical component.

Abstract: A display device for the interior of a vehicle comprises light sources, light guides, and holograms. The light guides are arranged next to one another and each has an entrance surface and a reflective area. Each light source emanates light that enters the entrance surface of an associated light. At least one of the holograms is arranged at or in each light guide. The light emanated by each light source enters the entrance surface of the associated light guide in a direction of the reflective area of the associated light guide, is reflected by the reflective area of the associated light guide in a direction of the hologram of the associated light guide, and interacts with the hologram of the associated light guide.

Abstract: A lighting device for a vehicle, having a plurality of light sources, which are arranged in an array, in particular in line-by-line and column-by-column fashion, and can be operated independently of each other at least in part, wherein the light sources emit light during operation; an exit face through which the light emanating from the light sources passes; and a plurality of extensive boundary elements, which extend at least partly in a region between the light sources and the exit face and serve to separate the light emanating from different light sources, wherein at least some, preferably all, of the extensive boundary elements have a reflector which at least partly reflects the light emanating from one of the light sources in the direction of the exit face.

Abstract: A lighting device for a motor vehicle is provided with numerous light sources. A flat waveguide has one entry surface and at least one exit surface. A cover panel is provided, and the light generated by the light sources enters the waveguide, at least in part, through the entry surface, the light entering through the entry surface exits, at least in part, through the at least one exit surface, and the light exiting the waveguide through the at least one exit surface at least partially exits the lighting device through the cover panel. A housing is provided that at least partially encases the numerous light sources, the waveguide, and the cover panel. The thickness of the lighting device in the direction perpendicular to the length and width of the waveguide is less than 20-mm where light exits the cover panel when the lighting device is in operation.
