Abstract: A video playback method is provided. According to the method, a frame before requested video playback time is transmitted and received without speed limitation to perform decoding without video play back, and a frame after the video playback time is transmitted and received in accordance with playback speed to perform decoding and video playback, thereby quickly playing back a video in accordance with video playback time requested by a user without changing Group Of Video (GOV) setting or codec setting.
