    Abstract: Shaft assemblies, turbomachines, and methods of servicing a turbomachine are provided. A shaft assembly includes a first shaft having a first rabbet annularly defined therein. The first rabbet includes a first axially extending face and a first radially extending face. A second shaft coupled to the first shaft. The second shaft includes a second rabbet annularly defined therein and positioned opposite the first rabbet. The second rabbet includes a second axially extending face and a second radially extending face. A patch ring is mounted between the first rabbet and the second rabbet. The patch ring includes a main body positioned between and in contact with the first axially extending face and the second axially extending face. A first arm extends radially outward from the main body, and a second arm extends radially inward from the main body.

    Abstract: A flow diverter for an air separator of a gas turbine includes a cylindrical body configured to fit within a cooling hole of the air separator. One or more air flow vents are defined through and around a partial circumference of the cylindrical body. A bottom panel closes the cylindrical body at one end. A mounting flange surrounds the cylindrical body at an open end and extends radially outward from the cylindrical body. When the flow diverter is installed, air flows through the open end in a radial direction and exits through the air flow vents in an axial direction. The cylindrical body may include a collapsible region that collapses to engage the air separator and prevent the flow diverter from being dislodged. The air separator may additionally or alternately include supplemental cooling holes in a recessed area proximate to its mounting flange.

    Abstract: A fixture and method for installing turbine buckets is disclosed. The fixture is adapted for mounting a plurality of turbine buckets with dovetails to a rotor wheel of a turbomachine that is separated from an adjacent rotor wheel by a spacer wheel, the rotor wheel and the spacer wheel each having a plurality of circumferentially aligned dovetail slots, the fixture includes: a turbine bucket holder having a dovetail that is configured to engage with one of the dovetail slots of the spacer wheel. The profile of a bucket holder dovetail slot substantially aligns the dovetail of the turbine bucket with a dovetail slot of the rotor wheel for at least partial transfer of a turbine bucket thereto.
