Abstract: According to some embodiments, a surrogate model creation computer system includes a user interface to interact with a subject matter expert to create a scripted physics-based model workflow associated with an industrial asset. The surrogate model creation computer system further includes a surrogate model creation engine to automatically execute the scripted physics-based model workflow, in connection with a physics-based model of the industrial asset, to generate at least one response surface of the physics-based model workflow. The surrogate model creation engine may then use the response surface and a machine learning process to automatically create a surrogate model of the industrial asset. It may then be arranged to output the surrogate model for use by a substantially real-time analytics package associated with the industrial asset. According to some embodiments, scripting for a physics-based model workflow may also be automatically created.

Abstract: A component includes an outer wall that includes an exterior surface, and at least one plenum defined interiorly to the outer wall and configured to receive a cooling fluid therein. The component also includes a coating system disposed on the exterior surface. The coating system has a thickness. The component further includes a plurality of adaptive cooling openings defined in the outer wall. Each of the adaptive cooling openings extends from a first end inflow communication with the at least one plenum, outward through the exterior surface and to a second end covered underneath at least a portion of the thickness of the coating system.

Abstract: According to some embodiments, an operating environment measurement of an industrial asset may be received from at least one sensor. A high-fidelity physics-based model may represent operational performance of the industrial asset and the performance's dependency on the operating environment measurement. A surrogate model creation engine may automatically create a surrogate model of the industrial asset based on the operating environment measurement and results from the high-fidelity physics-based model. An optimization platform may receive the surrogate model and use the surrogate model along with an optimization algorithm to generate a set of optimized fluid flow control system parameters for the industrial asset. In this way, a fluid flow control system may be designed to improve the performance of the industrial asset.
