Abstract: The disclosure discloses a handheld controller, a tracking method and a tracking system. The handheld controller can include a handle and a support. The handle can include an input device for detecting an input operation of a user. The support is coupled to the handle. The support can include an exterior surface with an identification pattern. In the tracking method, the imaging device captures an image of the identification pattern; the electronic device tracks and positions the handheld controller based on the identification pattern. In the disclosure, the handheld controller can be provided with the identification pattern. Such that tracking and positioning the handheld controller can be realized. It can avoid providing the light source and avoids controlling a frequency of the light source. Such that a structure of the handheld controller can be simplified, and costs can be reduced. In addition, there is no need to adjust parameters of the imaging device to track the controller with the light source, and an operation for controlling the imaging device can be simplified.
