Abstract: A user equipment (UE) device performs fast network camping when multiple SIMs of the UE device are out of service. A first software stack begins scanning for available networks and finds an available network at a frequency X. The first software stack decodes system information received from the available network at frequency X and determines that the available network is mapped to the SIM associated with a second software stack of the UE device. The first software stack signals the second software stack that an available network is mapped to the SIM associated with the second software stack at frequency X. In response to receiving the signal, the second software stack sends an attach request to the available network and completes a network attach procedure.

Abstract: A user equipment (UE) stores a refresh command for subsequent processing. In response to receiving the refresh command from a subscriber identity module (SIM), a processor of the UE determines if there is specified user activity at the UE, such as a voice call, that will be interrupted or negatively affected by processing the refresh command. If not, the processor executes the refresh command. If there is specified user activity at the UE when the refresh command is issued by the SIM, the processor stores the refresh command for subsequent processing. In response to cessation of the user activity, the processor retrieves and executes the refresh command.

Abstract: A user equipment (UE) having multiple Subscriber Identity Modules (SIMs) scans for network connections using each of the multiple SIMs in sequence, until either a network connection is found, or the UE determines that there is no available network connection. Each of the multiple SIMs supports connection to a different network. In response to a primary SIM of the UE identifying an out-of-service (OOS) condition for the corresponding network, the UE sequentially employs a different one of the multiple SIMs to attempt to connect to a different network. This increases the likelihood that the UE is able to connect to a network, thereby improving the overall user experience.

Abstract: A user equipment (UE) concurrently downloads available subscriber identity module (SIM) profiles. The UE identifies a condition wherein one or more SIM profiles is available for download. The UE first identifies the number of available SIM profiles and, in response to identifying multiple available SIM profiles, concurrently downloads at least two of the SIM profiles to the UE. This enables the UE to more quickly use the available SIM profiles to connect to corresponding networks, thereby improving the user experience with the UE.

Abstract: A user equipment (UE) in a wireless communication network determines that a radio link failure (RLF) has previously occurred within a threshold distance from a current location of the UE. Responsive to determining that the RLF has previously occurred, the UE determines an expected beam to be encountered and that is associated with the RLF. The UE generates a first beam measurement report for the expected beam. The beam measurement report includes an adjusted power measurement for the expected beam indicating that the expected beam is an optimal beam compared to at least one neighboring beam. The UE transmits the first beam measurement report to the cellular network.
