Abstract: Disclosed in some embodiments of the present disclosure is a method for adjusting the display brightness of a head-mounted display device. The method comprises: acquiring eye information of a wearer; acquiring data of the pupil diameter of a first eyeball according to the eye information; dividing a display area of a head-mounted display device into a first display area corresponding to the first eyeball and a second display area corresponding to a second eyeball according to the eye information; and calculating a corresponding first display brightness according to the data of the pupil diameter of the first eyeball, and adjusting the display brightness of the second display area to the first display brightness. By means of the method for adjusting the display brightness of a head-mounted display device, a change in the brightness for the eyes of a wearer can be accurately acquired, thereby guaranteeing the accuracy of brightness adjustment.
