Abstract: A method for monitoring a laser machining process of a laser machine tool, in particular engraving a texture or engraving a cavity, in which a laser source is provided and controlled by a laser-beam-control signal to emit a pulsed laser beam on the surface of the workpiece to ablate the material of the workpiece, wherein the interaction of the laser beam and the material of the workpiece generates a plasma.
