Abstract: A system and an apparatus that can stabilize the rotor in the generator to restrict rotation as the rotor moves longitudinally relative to the generator (and stator) during repair and maintenance. The system and apparatus includes structures that engage one another, thus avoiding potential conditions that can cause the rotor to rotate. The structures also couple a force along the center axis of the rotor to further alleviate imbalances that can arise during the longitudinal movement of the rotor.
