Abstract: An LED light module for illuminating a target plane is provided. The LED light module includes a first LED source, a second LED source disposed adjacent the first LED source, a first lens covering the first LED source, and a second lens covering the second LED source. The first lens is configured to direct first light beams emitted from the first light source to the target plane. The second lens is configured to direct second light beams emitted from the second light source to the target plane. At least one of the first and second lenses is shaped to have an asymmetrical profile. A backlighting system and a fixture incorporating the LED light module are also provided.

Abstract: An LED module is disclosed, which includes one or more LED light sources and one or more lenses. Each lens includes a lens body. The lens body includes an inner cavity having an incident surface, an emergent surface, and a reflective surface extending between the incident surface and the emergent surface for providing total internal reflection. One LED light source is situated in the inner cavity. Light emitted from the LED light source is transmitted by the incident surface. At least portion of transmitted light by the incident surface is reflected by the reflective surface to the emergent surface so as to provide a narrow light beam angle perpendicular to a length direction of the LED module. The emergent surface has a plurality of micro structures for enlarging a light viewing angle in the length direction. A sign box using one or more LED modules is also disclosed.

Abstract: A lighting device includes a light emitting diode (LED) that has a main axis of light emission. The lighting device also includes a lens element positioned adjacent the LED. The lens element has a geometry defined by at least partial revolution of a cross-sectional profile around an axis of revolution. The lens element is positioned relative to the LED such that the axis of revolution crosses the main axis of light emission of the LED. The lens element is operative to apply total internal reflection to at least some light rays emitted from the LED.

Abstract: A connector is provided to be assembled on a first illumination element and configured to be releasably coupled to a mating connector on a second illumination element. The connector includes a connection element comprising a conductor. The conductor comprises a first end coupled to a cable extending through the connection element, and a second end is releasably connected to an end of a mating conductor of the mating connector. A mounting member is configured to secure the connection element to the first illumination element, and a first gap is defined between an internal surface of the mounting member and the external surface of the connection element. A first sealing element is coupled to the mounting member and the connection element; and a second sealing element is coupled to the mounting member and the cable.

Abstract: The present disclosure is directed to a lighting system, the lighting system comprising at least two lighting modules. Each lighting modules includes a plurality of light emitting elements which are electrically coupled to one another. The lighting system further comprises a suspension assembly which is configured for longitudinally attaching to the at least two lighting modules to be arranged as two lighting modules adjacent to each other.
