Abstract:
In an exemplary embodiment, an internal combustion engine, in which a valve is opened and closed when a piston reciprocates in a cylinder, has a configuration to perform repeatedly the following combined strokes: an intake stroke→a compression stroke→a combustion stroke→an exhaust stroke in a four-cycle internal combustion engine are combined with an intake and compression stroke→a combustion and exhaust stroke in a two-cycle internal combustion engine. The internal combustion engine can reduce pumping loss in a six-cycle internal combustion engine and increase the output.
Abstract:
A camshaft includes, as a cam that opens and closes an exhaust valve and an intake valve, a ball cam whose protrusion amount changes according to rotation of the camshaft, wherein the camshaft has a double structure consisting of an inner shaft and an outer shaft provided in a manner that the inner shaft is helically displaced with respect to the outer shaft around an axis of the camshaft according to a rotation speed of the camshaft, and the ball cam is accommodated movably in a guide groove provided in the inner shaft and protrudes from the outer shaft, and a protrusion amount of the ball cam from the outer shaft changes when the ball cam moves in the guide groove due to the helical displacement of the inner shaft with respect to the outer shaft.
Abstract:
A resonator for joining metal members utilizing ultrasonic vibration includes an ultrasonic horn having a length of at least half wavelength of a resonance frequency of ultrasonic vibration transmitted from a vibrator, and a joining tool provided on the ultrasonic horn so as to project in a direction normal to a vibration transmission direction of the ultrasonic horn at a position of a point of a maximum vibration amplitude of the ultrasonic horn. The joining tool is formed into a linear bar made of a material excellent in acoustic property and is provided on a distal end thereof with a tool head projecting laterally.
Abstract:
A sensor apparatus comprising a housing, two or three gyroscope units and three accelerometer units. The gyroscope units are oriented orthogonally respective to each other and mounted within the housing. Each gyroscope unit includes a plurality of gyroscopes with input axes parallel to each other. The accelerometer units are oriented orthogonally respective to each other and mounted within the housing. Each accelerometer unit includes a plurality of accelerometers with detection axes parallel to each other.
Abstract:
A resonator is used for ultrasonic machining and attached to the side or bottom of a liquid tank so as to pass through the liquid tank used in ultrasonic machining equipment for dipping a workpiece part in machining liquid given supersonic vibration. The resonator includes a working vessel formed in one end of the resonator within the liquid tank as a dent opening upward so as to enable the workpiece part to be inserted therein from above and part of the machining liquid in the liquid tank to be accommodated therein as separated from the machining liquid in the liquid tank.
Abstract:
An ultrasonic vibration bonding resonator includes a resonance body, bonding working portions having a bonding working face and provided at a point of maximum oscillation on upper and lower surfaces of the resonance body and support portions provided at two points of minimum oscillation apart from the bonding working portions to opposite sides in a direction of ultrasonic vibration as projecting from front and back surfaces of the resonance body. Otherwise, it includes a resonance body, tool-attaching portions provided at a point of maximum oscillation on upper and lower surfaces of the resonance body, a bonding working portion having a bonding working face and attached to one of the tool-attaching portions with a screw, support portions provided at two points of minimum oscillation apart from the bonding working portion to opposite sides in a direction of ultrasonic vibration as projecting from front and back surfaces of the resonance body. Furthermore, it may includes a supporting device that includes an upper substrate, two lower substrates separated from each other in forward and backward directions and a resilient body.
Abstract:
A system of optical measurements for wellbore survey comprises a light conveyable cable, an optical measurement apparatus optically coupled to one end of the light conveyable cable, and a light source optically coupled to another end of the light conveyable cable. The light source produces light used for optical measurements in the optical measurement apparatus.
