Abstract: The electronics comprises a load circuit, a power supply circuit having a rechargeable electrical energy storer, and a protection circuit. An input of the power supply circuit is adapted to be electrically connected with an external energy supply. Both the power supply circuit and the protection circuit have at least two operating modes. Additionally, the protection circuit is adapted in the first operating mode to monitor the cell voltage applied on the circuit input to determine whether its voltage level has exceeded a predetermined maximum value and, in given cases, automatically to deactivate the operating mode.

Abstract: An electronic unit comprises a microcontroller with a control input, a control output, and a signal input; and an interface circuit with a connection terminal, a control output, a control input, and a signal output. Both the microcontroller and the interface circuit each have a first operating mode and a second operating mode. The microcontroller is designed to cause the interface circuit to operate in its first operating mode. The interface circuit is designed to convert an input signal into a derivation signal representing a derivation of the input signal over time and to generate a control signal from the derivation signal. The microcontroller is designed to cause the interface circuit to operate in its second operating mode and to receive and convert a digital input signal and to output an output signal to the microcontroller.

Abstract: The present disclosure relates to a method for operating a magneto-inductive flowmeter, wherein the magneto-inductive flowmeter has a measuring tube for conducting a flowable medium, at least two measurement electrodes for detecting a flow speed-based measurement voltage induced in the medium, and a magnetic field-generating device for generating a magnetic field which passes through the measuring tube, said magnetic field generating device having a coil. The method has the steps of applying a control voltage to the coil in order to generate a change in the coil current over time, and determining the change in the coil current over time in a change-over region, wherein the coil current is changed in the change-over region until a target coil current target is reached.
