Abstract: A tool for rethreading a damaged threaded object having a solid body with at least one through bore including at least one cutting tooth. A slot intersects the through bore, allowing relief for shavings removed from the object as it is rethreaded. The tool can be adapted to receive a pivot arm to increase the force exerted on the object. Multiple through bores and cutting teeth of varying sizes can be formed in a single tool. The tool may also be adapted to be used in conjunction with taps of varying sizes.
